As always, Lurch is not the typical, well-behaved boy and will ask lots of questions along the way, such as 'Why do we need to wink in mating ritual?' or 'Can I have a rock on top of my head?'. His innocent explorations lead to misunderstandings and hilarious situations, which will put your sides in laughter.
However, despite all the various challenges faced throughout the story, these are little people who believe in helping each other and rejoice in the life of kindness and love. Whether he has a tumble on stage, a wild forager or even falls in trouble with some of the other animal performers in the circus, together, they know that they can stand on their feet and create lasting memories while finding acceptance in this team who value friendship and family above all else, that makes this story such a joy to read again and again.
