This book discusses linear and nonlinear instability phenomena in a unifying fashion using energy methods. The ideas developed herein are applicable to a wide variety of engineering systems involving discs, shafts, belts, clutches, geometrical nonidealities, magnetic interactions and many other effects. Applications of these instability concepts are described. Oscillation modes due to non-hub gravitational vibrations and hydromechanical cylinder oscillations are reasons for the current chocked development in chemical processing stationary subject. Given the high intensification of the ongoing research, it is necessary to develop an original theory, as well as to propose new sensitive experimental techniques. The primary novel approach used here is the application of a modal synthesis method (MM), allowing to define explicitly potential risks which may threatens the centered object. Nonsmooth analytical methods of constructing analytical models have been generalized and formulated insufficiently analytically solved problems of dynamics to the present time. On the basis of such a representation, risk-induced instability processes in technological devices and other infrastructure installations have been examined. Geophysical interpretations of various abnormal phenomena have been estimated by natural spheres via closed nonlinar mathematical models. These models give basis for improved monitoring systems and implement practical interest concerning a rescue of the geosphere through permanent knowledge accumulation and analysis in a key moments.
