"If She Knew" is a thriller book by Blake Pierce. The author does a marvelous job creating characters with psychological depth, moving the reader into their minds and following their fears. Full of turns, it keeps you engaged until the end. The age of 55 is empty nest, freshly retired FBI, Kate Wise finds herself woken up out of quiet life as friend’s girl is murdered in an invasions house, and they all beg her to help them. Kate could calm herself ever since 30 in FBI as top agent and nobody doubts her talents, but now the life she though she had reached at crossroads is over and summoned by a nearest neighbor she somehow struggles to refuse. As she searches for murderer, with new corpses appearing, completely mom’s in different communities, it is becoming clear that a whole neighbourhood is on the hunters line, Kate has to find the mind behind this sound towns portrait. It is digging through a dark territory, revealing that not everyone isn’t like they seem to be. Plenty lies and inconsistencies in people near and surrounding Kate and she must unravel the mystery to save the neighborhood. But murderer knows how to dodgeKate and when result will appear the one loosing may not be her.
