This book by Jackie Braun is all about the Greek version of "Romeo and Juliet" - two strangers unexpectedly thrown together on an idyllic Greek island, where they must deal with broken hearts, unexpected desires, and how easily small decisions can cause catastrophe.

Kayla Young's boyfriend cheated on her and left, leading her to fly all the way to a remote Greek Island in an attempt to escape her pain. However, one evening out at dinner after a tour of the traditional nightlife spots, she meets Leonidas, an Italian tourist. Uncomfortable with the fact that he knows so much about both her and Greece (something she desperately sought to get away from), she scurries away fearing their meeting may have caused a rash of hostilities. After the two make passionate eye contact - both idealistic souls in dire straits – Kayla has only a few moments to briefly run up and out to Leonidas' car before taking off in haste. However, during a tricky climb down a rocky path, Leonidas decides he won't let her leave him alone and follows outside the now-deserted cafe, climbing wildly down to catch her.

Darcie is enjoying the peace and quiet in Athens and all too soon an Albanian man snatches up her suitcase. Nick of course comes to the rescue and saves her, winking at her ever since. Watching these two – always dancing around the 'Oh-I-Know-Who-You-Are' issue - Darcie tries to ignore the growing affection Nick unleashes as they drag her kicking and screaming along.

Meanwhile, 23-year-old Cara is finding less and less fulfillment in her life, particularly her lack of intimacy. She's met her soul mate Yannis, but the catch is that it's strictly a 'we're family friends' kind of relationship – which shouldn't matter any more than anyone else's…

The intertwining narrative makes for an interesting ride with twists and turns along the way that will leave you curious and tingling. Love, lust, betrayal, lies - the characters are taken on various life journeys which test them to the extreme - and if they stick together and face every hardship (for no good comes on its own) - all may well be "Greek to them.
