"Great Expectations" is an unabridged novel written by Charles Dickens. It is set in the 19th century and tells the story of young orphan Pip, who grows up in a terrible orphanage. His life changes drastically when he is taken in by his wealthy uncle, who has his own secrets.
Throughout the novel, Pip is faced with many challenges and struggles, including his orphanage life, his relationship with his uncle, and his search for a better life. He meets some interesting characters along the way, including the unscrupulous Mr Jaggers, the mysterious character known as Magwitch, and the cruel Salisbury.
The novel won the prize of being the most adapted book by Dickens, having been filmed, performed extensively (at any time at least twenty occasions) and various adaptations translated into major languages.
