Foresworn is a young adult fantasy novel written by Rinda Elliott and published by Simon & Schuster in 2019. This story involves Kat Lockwood, a young woman who is trying to save the world from an evil force by finding a man who has the soul of the Norse God Odin inside him.
Kat was raised by her mother who would constantly tell her stories about how their souls are connected to the goddess Freya and that one of them must die in order for the other two to survive. Kat though doesn't believe these stories but when her life is threatened she must find this man to save her life.
Along the way of her journey Kat meets Arun, who turns out to have the soul of Odin trapped inside him and he becomes her protector. Together they must find the remaining sisters who are also carrying souls of gods and stop the evil force from destroying the world.
This book is a great example of how the forces of good and evil can alter fate and how we can change our own destiny by making wise choices. I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys young adult fiction or fantasy stories set in volcanic worlds.
