The book will explain the physical-chemical basis of transformations necessary to understand and control them, as well as explorations in "process engineering" critical to optimally scientifically carrying out these processes and analyzing their performances. This volume is targeted towards students studying metallurgy or facing metallurgical engineering challenges (running an industrial facility or inventing new techniques).

This book deals with mineral transformations, recycling, and metal recovery, intended to change metals and alloys to a molten form ready for casting.
