Christmas with Him is an easy read that capitalizes on the classic genre of mrs. Herry types.
Jackie Braun's writing style is enjoyable as most storylines revolve around McTierny's past life. This was not written the most interesting, but through each book we are introduced to more characters and circumstances of their lives making for a sympathetic journey towards closure and learning why some people make repeat requests.
Romance and humor abound. Many suggest that there are certain romance tropes used and I agree with this sentiment. They feel old fashioned if you were raised in a conservative household. Overall, there is much enjoyment to be had with these books and value to reference occasionally for quick relieves.
