This book is great fun! There are some loads of simple instructions which the children can easily perform before they even know what is happening. And that is nice if you are looking for something not too complex. To top it all, Bibi and her friends have a lot of confidence in each other too. That is also very nice! The few pages are really fun for little girls. In Aleppo, Syria the first victims were stunned by hanging gas bombs, so it takes a while before one learns to recognise victims of bombing. After all the electricity, running water and the normal kitchen the refugee camps do not have is completely cut off. Of course this has a huge negative effect on heart patients. You just can't live without the way we used to laugh as children but the possibilities are endless the moment we take charge of our lives. Even if I occasionally feel very torn in between the intense love I have for our migrants and refugees, and how I want to help them but also how our own society is taking so much for granted, meeting a refugee because my work colleagues and I are doing Rapid Loss and Needs Assessments to determine what help the refugees should get, what more we can and cannot do, has transformed me into a dedicated journalist and ambassador for refugees'rights. Most people would say they only have one family. I'm different. I think I had seven - most of whom are refugees from Syria and war-torn areas. My sister's friends are good cooks, but no matter where you go in Lebanon, you'll always be served couscous with tomato and salad, which is essential during Ramadan.
