Stories about Bessarabia will delight all lovers of literature. The novel of Emanuel Blank definitely deserves attention. Yes, it will deal with problems common for all countries, but the writer celebrates his birthplace as if he knew nothing else better than this.. "The characters reflect the essence of the people", the author insists in the afterword. Of course, that's almost a cliché, but it happens that our heroes happen to be very likeable, we are impressed by their perseverance and love for life, anger and joy. They can be tagged for some time by heart and did not want this poetry to end! I think each reader will find something interesting for himself in this collection of short stories. It is intensely moving, and filled with charm. This book breathes reality and spirituality together. A truly wonderful work of art wonderful design.
